70,000 lbs of food to over 650 households monthly!
Commodities/Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP):
Woodland Action is the local distribution site for commodities provided under the USDA. This is a “federal program that helps supplement the diets of low-income Americans, including elderly people, by providing them with emergency food and nutrition assistance at no cost.” We distribute this food assistance to residents of both Clark and Cowlitz counties.
Distribution is during regular food bank hours on TUESDAY.
Woodland Action’s core program is distribution of healthy food, personal hygiene, and household items to low-income individuals and families. Woodland Action has also partnered with Woodland Public Schools and now supplies 5 schools with food pantries. Our largest group of clients are children and we are doing something about the 1 in 5 children that are food insecure in our community.
Food Bank Distribution Hours:
Tuesday Noon - 4:00pm (temporarily suspended)
Saturday 9am - 4:45pm
If you reside in our service area, you are eligible to receive food. Our service area includes Clark County - Woodland, La Center, Yacolt, Amboy and Cowlitz County - Woodland, Ariel, Yale, Cougar & Kalama.
To sign up to receive food, come by Woodland Action Food Bank on distribution day and check in with our in-take specialist.
